Our energy sources. 1st October 2019. At Opus Energy, we endeavour to secure as much of our power as possible from renewable electricity sources, so our customers can enjoy a cleaner energy supply. And we will continue to do so as part of our commitment to help reduce climate change and maintain a cleaner energy .
We have the capacity to supply our members with approximately 1360 megawatts (MW) of power through diverse resources, including 1000 MW from the 7 natural gasfired power plants we own and operate, 150 MW from our shares in 3 coalfired power plants, and 210 MW of renewable energy from wind, solar and hydro.
